How to Refill a Perfume Atomiser

Refilling a perfume atomiser sounds like it should be simple. Sometimes it is. Sometimes you end up with fragrance all over your hands and a vague sense that something went wrong. Here's a clear guide to the main methods — and which one actually works.

Method 1: The Funnel Method

The oldest approach: remove the spray nozzle from your perfume bottle, use a small funnel or pipette to transfer liquid into the atomiser, then reseal. It works, but it's fiddly. Small funnels are hard to find, the transfer is slow, and there's almost always spillage. Fine for a one-off, not great if you're doing this regularly.

Method 2: The Pump Method

Some atomisers use a pump adapter that attaches to the top of your perfume bottle. You pump the fragrance up through a tube. Cleaner than the funnel method, but the adapter has to fit your bottle's nozzle precisely — and it won't work with every fragrance.

Method 3: Bottom-Fill (The SPRITZ™ Method)

2. Hold your perfume bottle upright on a flat surface
3. Press the open base of the SPRITZ firmly onto the bottle nozzle
4. Hold in place for 8–10 seconds until filled
5. Replace the base cap

One fill gives you approximately 20 full sprays — enough for several days of use.

Which Perfume Bottles Does It Work With?

SPRITZ works with virtually all standard perfume bottles. The nozzle stem on most designer and mainstream fragrances is a near-universal size. There are rare exceptions with niche or vintage bottles, but for the vast majority of fragrances on the market, SPRITZ fills without issue.

How Long Does a Fill Last?
